Our challenge with this charming mid terrace 3- floor property was the lack of flow and need for updated conveniences. By adding a modest side return to connect the lounge and dining room and moving the kitchen back into the centre of the house we made a more communal space and also created a second seating area off the kitchen which opens up onto the courtyard and staircase to the terrace above which is a unique feature of the property.
By dividing the original large family bathroom we created both a stylish family bathroom and chic en-suite which would look at home in any high end hotel suite.
With 2 bathrooms now on this level we repurposed the original separate wc as a utility cupboard so all the laundry could be kept away from the kitchen.
A series of winding rooms in the old house were transformed into this larger open plan living space in Hampton and gave us the opportunity to create an inviting kitchen islandoverlooking the garden and housing the downdraft hob and prep sink.
From book-matched quartz downstand to accent lighting and the latest connected appliances, this is a kitchen with ample storage and ready to host a party. We also helped create this bold bedroom and dressing room.
This Family Home in Oxfordshire needed to blend the traditional and the modern. The property, with it’s many period features and scale called for a kitchen to match, whilst the clients were also keen to have access to the latest technology without it being too overt.
As the kitchen was to be part of a larger family space the island was designed to look more like a piece of freestanding furniture, but still has all the services for a sink and dish drawers.
We also had to make sure all the storage needed for everyday life fitted within the cabinetry! We commissioned the cabinetry company as well as the bespoke mirrors (including one which hides a 65 inch TV) and glass shelving for the servery on this project, and sourced the worktops and appliances, bespoke fireplace to match the worktops and alcoves.
We had the extractor hood tailor made to a picture the client had seen in an article and colour matched to the wall.
Dave has carried out two important projects for the Vineyard Life Church in Richmond on Thames. Our building dates from 1830 and is in a conservation area, so any work undertaken is complex. He project managed step free access into the premises at the same time as a comprehensive refurbishment programme was undertaken. The finished work received an award from the Richmond Society in 2021 for 'the conversion of the interior to provide modern facilities for a pre prep school and community services'. www.richmondsociety.org.uk/annual awards/ He also project managed the replacement of the windows on the ground floor in 2023 with suitably designed new windows, appropriate to the old building but for the c21st. He is to be highly recommended. I am a trustee of the church and with my fellow trustees we commissioned him for these two important, varied, pieces of work.Peter Flower2023-12-21David helped us with our kitchen and dressing room design and project managed our renovation from beginning to end. He listened to what we needed and came up with a very practical and useable solution. He was detail focused and we can’t recommend his services highly enough.Sarah Feltham2023-12-21David created a fantastic design for my kitchen, conscious to my needs as a wheelchair user struggling to reach high shelves and cook while sitting. The new kitchen has been truly life changing as it has allowed me to reach food and supplies and sit under the counter to prepare food. David was hands-on during the installation and with aftercare. Can’t recommend him highly enough!Amy Feltham2023-12-21
