After securing a BA Hons in Product and Furniture Design at Kingston University, where David was the first in the school’s history to have a design go to market whilst still studying, and sell internationally, he saw his passion for working directly with the end customer increase.

After graduating David worked in the Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom industry gaining valuable experience of both the ready made and truly bespoke high end companies, which led to the realisation that the existing model where designers are employed by companies to design clients spaces to suit their products wasn’t ideal for the clients.

This was the limitation of ‘Free’, or discounted design services, and so David set up David Aldrich Designs in 2008 to offer the type of Design, sourcing and project management service he would give to family and friends. With his wide knowledge of the industry and interests in all things to do with home renovation, David has built up a portfolio of wonderful spaces which all meet the clients needs on not only an aesthetic but also a practical basis.

Brilliant design is achieved when clients and designers work together to make sure the end result works for their lifestyle and the space as well as their aesthetic. Working with each client himself, he has created a process that is flexible and designed to help make each project as simple and enjoyable as possible.

His attention to detail and innate understanding of spatial design help ensure all aspects of the project are considered and communicated through the service drawings.
